Taking measurements is quite simple, you will need a “centimeter”, which is used by tailors or seamstresses, and a table of measurements, which you can see on this page. The measurements should be taken from a person, not a thing. Do not take the measurements yourself, it is better to have a professional do it. When you are being measured, behave naturally - do not straighten or slouch. In order to get accurate measurements, it is better to go to a professional, for example, to the nearest atelier, so that you are guaranteed to get a garment tailored to your figure.
